The Lie fails to hide it.
Evil in vain attemts to destroy it.
Tenacious Ignorance desires to twist it,

I discovered a horrifying history
swarming with wicked evil
I took in the so-called "Conquest"
bared of holy trappings.
I perceived a great heroic race
in all its grandeur.
I traversed to the past
anxious to set down the truth.
